This year is the 31st anniversary of the festival. This season the faire was trying out something new-theme weekends. The village of New Market is celebrating
Queen Katherine's birthday. The party's theme is left to the discretion of the Queen. This particularly fine weekend she chose the glories of ancient Rome. Therefore it was decreed that a Roman bachannal
was in order along with other fine Italian treats. Many fine patrons dressed for the occasion and partook in a toga contest.
