11-17-04                A fun but somewhat chilly weekend closed out the 30th season of TRF. It was a great time. The air was crisp and I attended a special wedding. Being the ned of the run I have a few closing thoughts.                1)TRF is still the grandest faire on the circuit. Even after all these years, the size and visual splendors still impresses me                2)I have grown impressed with the cast. They have made great strides in the last 2 years to improve their street skills and the ability to interact with the patrons                3)Even in persistently dubious weather, the faire still gathers large crowds. This without the convenience of a season pass                4)The owner George is pretty fearless the way he invests money to cater to the broadest variety of interests. For crying out loud the man has an air conditioned pub and fire dancers & fireworks going off every night before closing                5)They still have the widest assortment of food as well. There's at least 6 ethnic types and 10 different categories including fried alligator. It really puts a dent in a guy's wallet                That said it would still be nice if there was a season pass to help makes those dents smaller. Or if the faire set up their own lodgings for out of town patrons-reasonable places are more than half an hour away. Of course it wouldn't hurt if some of those tasty concessions were cheaper since they are darn attacrtive. oh well that's for another day 11-5-04                New pics from a humid/muggy Halloween weekend from the weekend. Enjoy! 10-7-04                It's opening weekend of TRF yet again. Below are plenty of fun yet wet images from the weekend. Enjoy! Anon and good days, |
