Texas Renaissance Festival 2003 |

11-11-03 Got back down for 1 final weekend. This was quite a nice change of pace from my normal faire agenda-for 1 thing I didn't have one. Things of note include: 1) In spite of my no agenda weekend I shot an awful lot of film-more than the other 2 times out here. 2) The instrumental group E Muzeki finally came out with an album-a full hour of beautiful music. 3) I am always amazed what the mudfaeries can accomplish. Particularly so since the medium they were using at TRF was something different from what they were use to. 4) And yet again I find myself doing more major shoots for Sound and Fury. Some can imagine the look on my face when Richard introduced me to their other new member Phil saturday morn. But they are a first rate act and Phil is a good addition. But I did create a shot of them that I found very fitting. Incidentally they were filming some of their shows for updated video product presumably. Richard forever with a beard! 5) It's ironic that although I've known and interacted with them for years, this is the first time I've spent a whole day with Rengeek and Clisto. It comes from always being on the run yielding to my photo obligations. It was rather refreshing and a little odd being on the other side of the camera so often. Sir Clisto is someone always worth looking up if you plan to head out to Bristol. I cannot think of a better individual to be ambassador for our crazy Ren world. 6) Got to engage in a whole heck a lot of socializing and it was great meeting you all even if I can't remember every name or face. It was a lot. The fallout of hanging out with the above 2 at TRF :>). Also it was tiring. I was majorly beat by sunday night. 11-5-03 Made it out again to this huge sprawling faire. Actually managed to catch some new things. Hope you enjoy the images 10-7-03 Well the opening weekend of the largest renaissance festival in the country has come again. I had a full time seeing people, catching new sights and re-experiencing familar pleasures. There were definitely new things to try like the new Prince of Wales Pub as well the strikingly redesigned shop of Lord Entropy. Enjoy! Anon and good days, |
