On the weekend of November 2nd and 3rd, I returned to the Texas Renaissance Festival. 2 words can sum up the weekend:wet and dreary. But that seems to describe this season as a whole. Saturday had very good crowds but it was grey and it was raining on and off even though it was suppose to be overcast. By the end of the evening, there was light but perpetual rain so the grounds were muddy by Sunday morning. Sunday was intermittently damp and misty, light rain and then heavy showers, swinging back and forth. Still I managed to see some new acts and such and experience some good moments.

The previous description and all these wonderful images are brought to you by Frank Hui. Because of his devotion, I have nothing to add. --Robyn Sotherby

Cast members after morning dance

Music of the Spheres. They sell splendiferous sounding chimes. Great on these drab weekends

They have a bell tower with these giant chimes that you can ring

The Shantyman joining Bard O'Neil during her morning set

Kyle, Joseph & David (from the Colorado Faire) doing the Rob Roy thing

These lovely fairies are dancing along to...

...the rapturous sounds of Cantiga and Owain Phyfe

They can't help but move along w/the music

Other fairies engaging in a contest

They seem to have lost the game ball

It seems to be an odd mix of cricket and badminton

During some miserable weather Queen Anne's Lace sing about Spring and sunshine

Maritabeth Carruthers and the Shantyman

Iris and Rose, bawds w/balls

The Suffering Brothers at the Last Supper Stage. The ground had become extremely saturated by this point and really added to their misery

The last image I took before leaving. Her name is Grace. You have to finish on a high note
