On the weekend of October 12th-13th, I made my perrenial jaunt to the Texas Renaissance Festival. The site had several new offerings including a new joust troup and venue, a greek food section with some tasty offerings, some excellent new acts such as the Minstrels of Mayhem and Wolgemut. There was also a new addition to the garden area. On the site of the old battle mound is the Roman Basilica. With some careful planning I managed to see a lot of shows and cover most of the terrain. No small feat since the area is over 55 acres. I even manage to do some socializing.

The previous description and all these wonderful images are brought to you by Frank Hui. Because of his devotion, I have nothing to add. --Robyn Sotherby

If you visit the Sherwood Forest area you find these giant swings among the various family oriented diversions

Also in that area is the piper troupe Tartanic

They are a fairly lively group

Kids can also get to interact w/Gregory the Dragon

There's a big Dragon to photograph if that's more your style
