|
05-29-02                This is it, the gallery of images that I took over Memorial Day weekend has been completely posted. I could tease and say that I have some quicktime videos of the Cardinal's monkey dance at his arrest, but I shouldn't do that. In the past years, others have sent images for posting as well. As always, I would be happy to do that. And... to my cherished friends of Petit Lyon, safe journeys. I hope to see you in Bristol! If not then, then I'm already sad that it will be another year before the gates reopen. 05-28-02                7:14pm. Pages 6 & 7 have now been uploaded. I think I'm going to have to call it a night for now. Stay tuned for tomorrow when another 90 or so images will be added. .                6:00pm. Pages 3, 4, and 5 are up. There are still many to go. Page 3 displays some images of friends, while pages 4 through 7 will be of musical groups. It occurs to me at this hour that I probably won't have all of the images posted until tomorrow evening. Thanx for your patience... and check back often :) .                4:39pm. Page Two is up. This set of images focus on the Cardinal of Lorraine, his arrest upon the last day of faire, and a brief explanation of the King's Quest. (From the program:)"Pick up a King's Quest Passport at the Front Gate to begin an epic adventure through the Faire. As you visit Realms, explore the Village, and learn about the Renaissance throughout the day, you can earn points toward nobility. If you earn enough points, you can become a knight or princess! Parents: it's fun and (shhhh) it's educational. Your child can go on this quest free of charge."                4:10pm. The first page of the last weekend of images is up... this page includes images of Noble Cause Productions.                3:49pm. My power has been restored, and it's going to take a bit of time to make this humongous update. The first page I'm working on loading are some images of Noble Cause Productions' joust.                11:15am. This sucks, I just found out my power is going to be switched off for about 2 hours. GRRRRRR!!!!                It's about 10:30. I'm weeding through the over 300 images taken from the final weekend of the faire's 2002 season. I'm sad. Really. This past weekend was truly wonderful.                It will take me awhile to get things situated and uploaded, but I'm pluggin' away at getting these images up here. Brollywacker, Minstrosity, the Pyrates Royale... Running with Scissors, friends, the Cardinal in jail... so much... so much, yet not enough.                Sometimes I wish life were like a CD player. I'd like to hit the back button three times, and hit the repeat button on this past weekend. 05-12-02                Wow!... last year: Pirate Stage started... this year: it's finished and looks spectacular. Last year: around 40 vendors... this year: around 80 vendors. Last year: Spent time in the company of some of the hardest working people I've ever met... this year: well, that's the same!                I just love the Greater St. Louis Renaissance faire. I regret that Andrea and I were only able to attend one day of their opening weekend. I regret further that I won't be able to attend next weekend. So... I'm REALLY looking forward to Memorial Day weekend. The only downside to the rate this faire is growing is the fact that it's becoming impossible to capture an image of everything there is to see and do at the faire. There are so many niches carved into this 30+ acre wooded lot now, that it's easy to forget where you've been, and if you've missed something. It's a faire that can truly be explored.                If you're stopping here to check out the images to see what the faire is like... don't forget to check the past years' galleries as well. To those my friends at Petit Lyon, thank you. Thank you for the effort that you've put in toward making this show a success. Thank you for you warm welcomes... and thank you for just being you. You're growing faster than I can keep up with. If I haven't met you yet, please stop me so I can be sure to get a picture of as much and as many as I can! Anon and good days, |
