Greater St. Louis Renaissance Faire 2000 - From Seelie Court
|
Share a day with sun and merriment, Share a drink of happiness and joy, Share a time with me and I with thee. Come my friends of the realm, Lasses afoot and rogues who pursue them, with lusty winks, of ale and lines, designed to impress and enlighten. Wenches and Ladies both share a time, and a place so close that friends gather, So lift up thy mugs and cheer a hearty cheer, For spring is now and Bristol is near. Days of hot summer and friendships as warm, As we all play in a time that was long before, but a time never forgotten by us, As a time of friends with hearts so warm. That it pales the sun of that blistering day, Friends gather near, so lets drink up today, For our time here is short, But we curse not the length of the day. But cherish it dear and hold our heads and mugs high, Lets hear it for the renaissance, Lets hear it for good times, Lets hear it for Friends that we value so much. Before getting to the pictures, I thought I'd post the poem that Lord Cullen sent along with his images. The below images were taken over the Memorial Day weekend of 2000 when many of we Bristolians went to Lyon. Robyn Sotherby can be harassed about the below captions; however, comments regarding either the images or the poem may be sent to Lord Cullen at IronDragon@aol.com. |
