The Corsairs, my favorite ren act, officially retired. They presented their final performance closing day at Scarborough. Fittingly enough 13 seasons has come to pass for this group. 13 is a key number on all their albums. And their closing performance was very much like 1 of their albums with 13 tracks and a bonus number. Even better was the inclusion of Gregg Csikos, aka the Shantyman, who had left the group 5 years prior. Below are images from the last show. The final page contains a montage of images through the years of the guys including some vintage shots dusted off that have never before seen by the public.

The previous description and all these wonderful images are brought to you by Frank Hui. Because of his devotion, I have nothing to add. --Robyn Sotherby

Kevin and Robbie always had some schtick up their sleeves

Singing "General Taylor"-It helps when it is done in the right key

The enigmatic "Farewell to Tarwaithie", one of my favorites

"The birds sing so sweetly..."

"...on mountain and dale"

"The king of that country is a fierce Greenland bear"

Interjecting to "Isn't It Grand"

"Look at the Corsairs! Bloody great singers! Isn't it grand boys?..."

"...to be bloody well hung!"

Gregg ripping into "Minstrel Boyz"

It's a melding of 2 songs that deal w/the romance & the reality of war

The man got a standing ovation for this very passionate number

BJ follows with "Southern Cross"
