Scarborough’s human chessmatch where various town denizens play as pieces of a battle between the King and Queen. Charles Brandon calls out for Henry, Lord Derby calls for Anne. The battles can be to 3 touches or to the blood with proxies called by a player. Again we seem to have a different set of battles for each day. Oddly enough it’s more like a contrafactual sort of combat. Like a step into the Twilight Zone, or Sliding Doors, the scenarios diverge down alternate paths, battles and outcomes.

The previous description and all these wonderful images are brought to you by Frank Hui. Because of his devotion, I have nothing to add. --Robyn Sotherby

But I wanna know if deja vu is so common,

Why do only the French have a word for it

Guess some things are

just a fixed point in history

Another big noisy weapon resolves the conflict

Well this is different at least

This poor girl definitely needs a proxy

and who better

The man gets his own proxy as well. He's no fool

Again with the gun?

Hmmm, does anyone think

these brothers share the same brain

Not a lot of loyalty going on between them
