It's the start of season 24 at Scarborough Faire and 2 words can sum up the weekend: Green and Gray. Green because there was a lot of remodeling and terraforming of the grounds with lots of new foliage, sodded grass and shrubbery. The site is quite the different place from the one of the 90s. And gray because of the onset of dark clouds, the steady amounts of rain, the perpetually damp air, 25 mph winds and the drop in temperature. Saturday morning started bright, warm and in the 70's and by Easter Sunday, it was dark, chilly and barely cracked 50. Still it was a decent opening weekend with fun moments with acts old and new and scores of familar faces.

The previous description and all these wonderful images are brought to you by Frank Hui. Because of his devotion, I have nothing to add. --Robyn Sotherby

He's drawn the attention of these lads

The Motley Players enacting a complex yet classic comedy

about multiple separated twins

and mismatched lovers. Sound familar?

A quick recap of the Scottish Play

Not to mention the Ides of March

Encounters a vomiting Cleopatra?

I really can't explain this one

Doing the history of the English kings as a football game

Will's hats never cease to amuse me

It sure came in handy by the afternoon

Not that they would let a rainstorm interfere with putting on a good show

Nor would Owain Phyfe and Cantiga
