The final weekend of Scarborough celebrated the old tradition of privateers and piracy. It was a fast and furious time as is only fitting. We even had a rare treat, the entire crew of the Crimson Pirates performed at the faire-all 12 of them. They're a terrific act with an excellent and an enormous sense of fun. They also premiered their latest recording and I think technically I was the first fan to listen to it. It's a good recording. Go out and order it.

A lot of images from a jammed packed holiday weekend. Met waves of visitors including Kansas City and Minnesota. Got some nice images including the King's Feast and Court Dance. Speaking of the Minnesota Faire, they have a very nice resource page about their cast and events called the MRF Friends.

Another fortuitiously nice day at the faire. This was a zero agenda day as I meandered about. Also the final 2 weekends worth of pics may be a little late being posted as I will be relocating to Austin, TX Real life must intrude every once in a while

Nice low key weekend with some decent weather and pictures.

Only managed 1 day out for crafters' weekend-hey it was muggy. Still managed enough pics.

Ah, a crazy weekend for me. Owing to someone's nuptials I only made it out Sunday for Scottish weekend. I was also trying to do my own shots and help someone else out with hers. Plenty of Scots and Scotts and Scot wannabes. There was also some impressive competition in the highland games by heavy weight men's division or should we say the big boys. Oddly enough there was more lunancy that outdid Easter Sunday. Speaking of which I also have a few leftover shots from that day.

This past weekend was fun. Easter presented your typical and your not-so-typical egg hunts. The Flaming Idiots came to visit incognito in their mundanes and very long in the tooth. They even comandeered 1 of the shows on their old stage. Sadly I didn't get shots of that.

Wow, we're at the opening of Scarborough once again. Time really seems to move faster and faster as I get older (bleh!). As a warm up for the season I went to a promo the Saturday prior at Grapevine Mills Mall where the entire cast was performing all day. Got some some nice shots. Anyway the faire seems to have gone through some big changes including a new stage for the Corsairs. Yeah! Don't have to do that long trek to the Dirty Duck Stage. Also quite a bit of shakeup in the entertainment lineup with a few long past acts returning. Anyway I had a flurry of activities enjoying opening weekend with all manner of friends both local and out of state. Incidentally that Saturday was the 2nd biggest crowd of all time in Scarby history.

Enjoy and good days to all,
Frank Hui
