Scarborough Faire opened it's 22st season right before tax day and people obviously came out to enjoy some much needed relief. The crowds were good despite the thunderstorms and very muggy conditions on opening day. Some of the changes this season include a newly formed comedy right here in the shire, radical changes with some of the stages and even a change or two with the ren faire community's beloved pipe act.

The previous description and all these wonderful images are brought to you by Frank Hui. Because of his devotion, I have nothing to add. --Robyn Sotherby

Cut, Thrust, And, Run, a promising new act formed by cast members: Captain Cuthbert Urimus Talber; Lord Johnathan T.Gage; Andrew McArthy and Welbeck Grunyon

"Run" is giving lessons on imitating a catapult

"And" is short for Andrew, he cut off the "y"

"Thrust" finds himself at odds with these pirates (yes Scarborough is full of them this year)

The fight gets a little tangled

Having fun with a patron damsel

Cut and Thrust are fighting over fruit...

...with Run in the middle

There's lots of patron interaction

Run does seem to get abused alot in this show

But things do have a way of balancing out though

He gets his moments as well

The pictures on this page were initially captured at a resolution of 2048 x 1536. Though they are presented by Robyn's Roost at a maximum of 640 x 480, the larger image files can be supplied for prints (does a great job at 8x10 and larger) or other things. For those I have captured a picture of, I'd be happy to supply prints via mail or other exchange for the cost of materials (printed off of an HP-970Cse). This service, of course, is intended to supply a copy of the images to the subject of the picture. Distribution for any other use (in any media format), common sense dictates, will need to be okayed by faire management and/or the subject(s) of the picture.
