6-5-02                We come to the end of another season at Scarborough. As with all final weekends there were lots of fun and silly moments. Too many for me to capture on film-also happening too quickly. I also got to do a lot of networking for my camera skills. Until next year and maybe I'll have more time for people. 5-30-02                The last couple of weekends have been very good to Scarborough and I picked up some very interesting shots. I even got several monochrome pictures during the last couple hours of Memorial day. That seemed appropo since some pesky, albeit cooling, rain clouds decided to horn their way in and make things wet and gray. There was a vast number of out of towners including AFR otters, guests from the Kansas City Faire and the Minnesota Faire. I did get to meet some but barely got to talk with them. If anyone recognizes any people's images posted please let them know. Here I thought I'd have more time this year to be social, yet I'm hopping around with my camera as much as ever.                But then there were some memorable and unique moments going on that kept me occupied. Some of those include a couple of departures from the normal Corsairs performances, a striking honor guard, an amorous ambush & some even more amazing work by the mud fairies. The late eruption of rain on Memorial day forced some fast improvising in altering the end of the story arc. It normally ends in a ferocious and complex melee, but here they had to go a "different" route to resolve the scenario. I have some highlights of it in "glorious B+W". 5-14-02                More images covering weekends 4 and 5. Some of them are kind of neat-hope you enjoy. Hmmm didn't think I'd be taking this many pics this season. 4-30-02                Here we got shots covering weekends 2 and 3. With unending rainstorms still persisting. 4-16-02                It's the start of a new season at Scarborough Faire. I almost can't believe how quickly 2001 has passed. Opening weekend was definitely not static. Saturday afternoon there were severe thunderstorms and it was gray a good chunk of the weekend. Just 1 of several atypical ones Texas has been getting in the last 2 months. Heck it even snowed with ice storms 1 night in March. Anyway there have been lots of radical changes to the site, the acts and even the people and story lines. I didn't get to cover quite as much as I usually do but enjoy anyway. Anon and good days, |
