Within a discreet corner of the faire grounds is the Rogue's Reef Stage. The acts there are all rated NC-17 for at least 17 naughty bits per program. That is an understatement, if there ever was one. This stage is a true adult venue with some of the most explicit acts I have ever seen. Definitely not for children. It made for a very different Sunday. There are 3 acts that perform here. The Poxy Boggards perform wild and sexually blunt pub songs wrapped in a pretty choral package. They can be outrageous, shocking, disarming but apparently never boring. They have good energy and a huge performance quality (I'm just assuming). Michael Wordsmythe is a very outspoken storyteller. That's the diplomatic way of putting it. Finally there are the Belles of Bedlam. They seem like the typical bawdy wench act, but they have they own vocal (and physical) twists to those types of songs. WARNING: although some editorial discretion was applied, some of the images posted do show the more adult nature of their shows. Don't say you weren't warned.

The previous description and all these wonderful images are brought to you by Frank Hui. Because of his devotion, I have nothing to add. --Robyn Sotherby

Hawking their show appropriately by the 7 deadly sins

But they seem to

be singing something

sweet and tasteful

That seems rather contrary

Ah but now that's we're in the show proper...

This is part of the

audience participation

indoctrination

I didn't show all the cue cards

Now this song could be about the captain and his hideous & vile wife

No, I think it's more likely about this infamous prostitute

Or it could be about this girl who is really popular with Navy. I get them mixed up

Now this song concerns

each of these guys'

beloved animals
