2004 marks the 42nd season of the Southern Renaissance Pleasure Faire of Califronia, the oldest faire of its kind in the United States.
The faire is one that places more emphasis on historical elements with its guilds, recreators and street characters and mix of semi-permanent structures. Southern is an interesting place set near the mountains in San Bernadino. The weather was mixed and wild, but
the cast and performers performed with zest and energy in spite of freezing rains. I had a good adventure overall at the faire that started it all.
The previous description and all these wonderful images are brought to you by Frank Hui. Because of his devotion, I have nothing to add. --Robyn Sotherby
