We also had a another special reason to be down at the Pirates in Paradise Festival. As many of you may know, Ed Westfield, creator of the Scribe and long time rennie
passed away in early 2001. His ashes have been spread out amongst the various faires this past year to reflect his love for our world. The Corsairs, their loved ones, a few fans and I boarded the Schooner Wolf Saturday evening just before sunset, went out
to sea and gave our friend a sailor's sendoff. Being a former pirate and having great affection for the Corsairs, I feel he would have really liked this.
The previous description and all these wonderful images are brought to you by Frank Hui. Because of his devotion, I have nothing to add. --Robyn Sotherby
