This past Saturday night, my roommate and I again braved the streets of Downtown Austin for the annual celebration of Halloween. Now Halloween is a very big deal in this town. People spend serious money and invest vast amounts of time to make the day. It's 2nd to only Christmas. Sadly even though I was much smarter in approaching the traffic and crowds this year, I got sidetracked in 1 of the clubs and didn't get as many pics as I would have liked. Still managed a few fun gems though.

The previous description and all these wonderful images are brought to you by Frank Hui. Because of his devotion, I have nothing to add. --Robyn Sotherby

What's more appropo than carnivale masques

He does a mean shimmy-shake
