The first saturday of May has become known as Free Comic Book Day. It's a chance for the industry to celebrate the medium. There are many titles and special printings made available that are given away. Individual stores stage their own events to promote the day. Here in Austin our costuming guild helped out Outrageous Outfits with such a promotional at Tribe Comics in the south part of the city. The company arranged for many people to show up dressed as various heroes and villains. They made an excellent addition to the local independent writers that also made an appearance

The previous description and all these wonderful images are brought to you by Frank Hui. Because of his devotion, I have nothing to add. --Robyn Sotherby
