I have returned to DragonCon with friends in tow who have never been. We arrived a day early so to get some sightseeing done before the raucus affair begins. We got to visit the famed Georgia Aquarium. It claims to be the world's greatest. This was not an idle boast. There was quite a sense of anticipation with more folks than ever coming in thursday evening to begin the fun as soon as possible. In fact the pre-registration line was 10 times as crowded as it was last year. Talk about everyone wanting to get a jump on things.

The previous description and all these wonderful images are brought to you by Frank Hui. Because of his devotion, I have nothing to add. --Robyn Sotherby

This is a truly surreal experience

Whale Shark silhouette

Here's a money shot

Lest not forget the manta ray

A full brood of them

This is a big mother of a fish

That small black mark is a child

Main viewing window for Ocean dwellers

23 feet high, 61 feet wide, 2 feet thick

The infamous Whale Shark appears

Just a petite one though

Saw fish

A lone hammerhead

Interaction abound

The Spidercrab is light sensitive
