For a nice change of pace, my friend Rick and I attended the 17th annual Akon Anime convention in Dallas, TX. It is big anime convention that caters to both the devout and casual fan that took up the entirety of the convention center of the Mark Adams hotel.
It has been several years since I last attended this colorful event and it shows-since I had no clue who the majority of people were dresses as. Serves me right for forgetting to bring pen and paper. It has really grown from it's first year were I was told there a little over 300 attendees to this year which boast over 14,000.
The previous description and all these wonderful images are brought to you by Frank Hui. Because of his devotion, I have nothing to add. --Robyn Sotherby
