2005 marks the 23rd season of the music festival sponsored by the Southwest Celtic Music Association. This year brought a enormous number of acts new to the festival. Too many in fact to all catch during the weekend much less 1 day. This year's theme is called "Bluegrass Has Green Roots". A notable percentage of the acts display a bluegrass influence and bring a refreshing feel this time around.

The previous description and all these wonderful images are brought to you by Frank Hui. Because of his devotion, I have nothing to add. --Robyn Sotherby

More artistic shots

These are some of my favorite people on the circuit

1 of the other headliners, Sliabh Notes

They are an elegant trio

Brothers 3, a lively, whacky family band with a bit of a jazzy bent

Tim Menikos and Steve Jones

Mark Menikos, he's quite theatrical

A fuzzy shot of Wayne McKinzie

Another shaky shot of Martin McCall having some mountain fun

The charming folk sounds of Jed Marum (center) accompanied by Tom Leighton, Curly Boy Stubbs and Betty Blakley Waddoups

Closing out this bluegrass day are the McKrells
