During the first weekend of November, Austin holds its own Celtic festival. It is held at Fiesta Gardens by the lake. It is a small but very enjoyable event with great atmosphere and lots of potential.

At the games field I saw a number of dogs

of various shapes and sizes

They are all part of the dog parade

Of course you have to have terriers

The rock band the Churn

Up and coming group, the Sarah Dinan Band

She has quite the enchanting voice

The SCA was also there doing demos

They even encourage some audience participation

The headliners of the festival Martin Hayes & Dennis Cahill

Mayor Wil Wynn and 1 of his daughters arrive

He gives Hayes and Cahill honorary citizenship

Also on hand were my friends the Trinity River Whalers

The 9th Legion Hispania

They were doing battalion formations
