9-14-04 I have posted images from the 17th annual Austin Gay and Lesbian International Film Festival (aGLIFF). It was a good entertaining event. I had some nice shots particularly for 1 of the film which was a superhero flick. 8-16-04 This summer I got to enjoy some non-faire performances with one of the best shanty singing groups around, the Corsairs. 8-01-04 This was my first year going to the San Diego Comic-con. I had expected just to catch some celebs and get photos of people dressed up on the floor and for the big Masquerade Contest. I got much more from this fun event that had too much to do in too little time. Bouncing from one place/event to another at a whirlwind pace, I "learned" a few things: 1)Never ask a CGI animator for a shirt pull 2)Ray Bradbury knows the secret of living forever 3)Getting your photo w/Superman, Batman or Wonder Woman is like meeting Santa at Xmas only it applies to adults too 4)If you enter the Masquerade, you might want to request a ramp (or a seeing eye dog) 5)A 10 minute superhero film can be just as good as a 2 hour one 6)The word "Agua" forever has new meaning for me 7)Jack Sparrow is EVERYWHERE 8)It's Glen "Murak-anime" 9)Even Stormtroopers get wenched 10)No matter how commercial things get, there's always space to nurture up and coming talent & meaningful ideas 11)Kill Bill seems to be popular with young girls 12)Bruce Timm is going down as 1 of the great animation producers in tv history 13)Victoria's Secret has started to hire Fairies 2-08-04 For a change of paste, I've posted images of Carnvale event of Austin, Tx. It's a pricey but very enjoyable party. 12-10-03 Hey all! Just got back from a madcap, extended weekend down in Galveston, Texas down by the Gulf. Indulged in a mass gathering of rennies at the Dickens on the Strand street fest. The event was exciting and exhausting. Hope you enjoy the highlights. Anon and good days, |
