2003 marks the 30th anniversary for the Dickens Street Festival. It is presented by the Galveston Historical Society in downtown Galveston. It is quite a weekend event filled with a wide variety of shops, performers and festivities. The event drew a decent amount of patrons despite the crisp weather. This year's event apparently was a success exceeding previous years.

The previous description and all these wonderful images are brought to you by Frank Hui. Because of his devotion, I have nothing to add. --Robyn Sotherby

More beggars

They'll tales alms from anyone

Later the urchins do a puppet show

It's their own version of the nativity

The wise men and the kings arrive

A great declaration to the heavens is made

And there was great rejoicing

More posing on Sunday

Katrina and Ken near Connelly's

Me in my student attire near the Elissa

A large group of us had attracted the attention of some restaurant patrons

We were getting our image taken on the Elissa
