2004 marks the 35th annual San Diego Comic Book Convention or Comic-Con. This is a grand 4 day event that is part shopping expedition, part trade show, part cinema showcase-ALL Playful Fantasy. A time where all genres merge (but hopefully don't collide) and a chance to indulge one's inner child for a brief yet incredible, jam-packed moment. How else to describe a weekend where you get to hear Ray Bradbury reflect on his life yet witness the appearance of the next great talent, compare assets with Superman and Pikachu, get a hug from Snoopy as well as Vampirella, buy the coolest action figure, be the coolest action figure, be on the lookout for stars or battle amongst them. That's a pretty good way to spend 3 days. Hey I even managed a little sightseeing.

The previous description and all these wonderful images are brought to you by Frank Hui. Because of his devotion, I have nothing to add. --Robyn Sotherby
