The town of Kenosha had its fist annual Tall Ships festival. It was a decent start up event with some interesting vessels to be toured and some nice music being performed. I attended on the morning of the last day. I had a nice time and had the wonderful opportunity to to Tom Lewis a fine folk singer and quite a songwriter

The previous description and all these wonderful images are brought to you by Frank Hui. Because of his devotion, I have nothing to add. --Robyn Sotherby

Part of a local monument to past sailors from the area

Several people were fishing along the side before the event opened

I thought this was a pretty neat thing to have

The "Fair Jeanne" a brigantine from Ottawa

This woman explains it was originally a yacht built by a former navy man from World War II

This is the "Nina" she appeared in the film 1492

She was built strictly using 15th century techniques

My favorite, the "Larinda", a boston schooner

It is full of interesting details

The design is based on an 18th century fable

It has many hidden layers

Thought this was a nice design

Now this was a serious sized jolly roger. It looked at least 10 feet across

Kris & Tom Kastle, a pair of fine and versatile folk singers

Tom Lewis, a powerful singer and a great guy

I have to admit I didn't expect to see this here
