On Saturday March 16, over the St. Patrick's Day weekend, the Blarney Brothers appeared at the Ridglea Theater in Fort Worth, Texas. The Ridglea is a good size concert venue that can accomodate hundreds of people and is equipped with a first rate sound system and excellent stage effects. Opening for the guys was 1 of my favorite groups, Queen Anne's Lace. Besides doing beautiful renditions of traditonal and folk songs, they also have a fun repertoire of old torch and swing songs. At this theater their awesome sound and versatile playlist could be fully heard with all its range and nuances.

The previous description and all these wonderful images are brought to you by Frank Hui. Because of his devotion, I have nothing to add. --Robyn Sotherby

Outside the historic Ridglea Theater

"Caris" aka Heather during the song "Paddy Murphy"

Left is "Summer" aka Carrie and in the center is "Copper" or Katrina

"Sharon" or Kathleen during "Mr. Fox's Garden", an exquisitely dark fairy tale. It's their new CD, QAL Unlaced

"Gillian"(Arta) & "Delia" (Ann) during "Gypsy Wife" an original song that's also on the newly released CD

The ladies really have a sweet and enchanting blend

Performing a whacky version of "Chandler's Wife". It's got to be seen to be believed-but it's very funny

Singing "Shenandoah"...

...a breathtaking folk song

Here they're doing a great old Irving Berlin song,"What Will I Do?", with Ann taking the lead. It mesmerized the crowds

Heather singing lead on a swing piece with Steve Harrison accompanying her on his trumpet

It's a really jazzy piece with Roger Harrison & Matt Williams also on backup

The ladies doing some moves during "Stormy Weather"

Carrie getting into a Andrew Sisters number

A great shot of Katrina and her holiday "tatoo"

Later performing with the Blarneys Brothers during 1 of their sets
