The Texas Scottish Festival is a fun event held at the football stadium of the University of Texas in Arlington, located just east of Fort Worth. This was the first time I got to attend the festival since it usually overlaps with the final weekend of Scarborough Faire. This year it came the week with a warm weekend that was sunny most of the day with some quick rainfall. You can imagine how many ren people were happily out there. The event was striking for the presence of clans and highland games competitions for both amateur and professional ranking. several players traveled from way out of state and even from Canada for this event. It also included a lot of major celtic acts including Clandestine who officially announced this as their last year together. A great loss to the celtic community.

The previous description and all these wonderful images are brought to you by Frank Hui. Because of his devotion, I have nothing to add. --Robyn Sotherby
