One of things aspects of this faire I found rather impressive was their chessmatch. Performed twice a day,it not only has the standard fill of excellent stunts but
it contains interesting shades of grey to its plot plus amusing little moments that occur outside the action. The plot revolves around Count Marco, Senator of the Republic of Venice, a proud and yet naive man whose bride has been kidnapped along with her dowry of very
profitable lands. She was taken by Lord Alaric, Baron of Saxony, a ruthless and charming machiavellian, who takes great pleasure at pushing the Count's buttons.
The previous description and all these wonderful images are brought to you by Frank Hui. Because of his devotion, I have nothing to add. --Robyn Sotherby
