  Festival 2002
7-30-02
A friend and I visited the Colorado Festival this past weekend. We and our hosts for that weekend had a fun but very busy and tiring time. We took in a lot of shows, perused most of the shops, socialized with performers I knew were up there and was surprised by people I didn't realize were working that site. It's a very scenic area but a word of caution. If you ever decide to visit, it would be best to plan your agenda out as we did. This has less to do with maxing out your experience there than with the fact you're at a faire built on a mountain side with a higher altitude, thinner air and limited shade. On a hot sunny day, a person could be easily over come with fatigue. And the last few weeks has been unusually hot for that area, although Sunday was cooler and more enjoyable as evidenced by all the crowds. Aside from that, the place was very entertaining with many aspects going for it with enough novel elements to add a freshness to the experience. Also make some time to sightsee outside the faire grounds

Anon and good days,
Frank Hui
