Spunky arrived at the Bristol Renaissance Faire to enjoy the sights, sounds, and smells. As soon as he entered the gate, he noticed visitors wearing things upon their heads and thought to get something of his own. First he thought he would be an evil, devil monkey and wear horns. Sometimes, however, it pays to be good and he tried on angel wings. Of course, the wings reminded him that he always envied the flying monkeys in the Wizard of Oz. With all the shops and demonstrations to see, Spunky wanted to try making a candle, which didn't turn out because the wax got stuck in his fur. Ack! Spunky was horrified to see that monkey tails are sold at the faire. After a quick rickshaw ride away from the monkey tail vendor, the vain side of Spunky came alive and he decided to try on some of the finer clothing available at the faire. From the grumbling mouth of one of the nobles came the advice to enjoy his youth while it lasted and Spunky showed his true colors as a ladies' monkey. He romances Lady Sarah Trumpington, shocks Schatzie, woos Aphrodite, and beds down with the Aunties Iphegenia and Grizelda Credenza. Before having his fortune read, he revels with Jon and Byl and plays a quick game of chess. Unfortunately for Spunky, Raven bested him in the match.
