Unlike the first weekend, and most of last summer, this weekend was simply beautiful. The sun was out (again, making for bad picture taking days), but the temperature was sublime. Given that my "summer schedule" has fully kicked in, I didn't quite make it to opening gate either day -- in fact, it was pretty lucky that I made it in before the mid-day parade. What that means is that I've found it awfully hard to wake up before 10:00 am, but have been wondering why the faire is closed at 2:00 am. Am I alone in the wish that faire went on until after dark? Am I? Am I? I've been missing out on the wench walks by the new Wenches Guilde at Bristol, as well as the Pub Crawls that happen daily at 3:00 pm starting at the Pig N' Whistle (those, of course, are unofficial events). Instead, this weekend, I sat near the Dirty Duck most of Saturday people watching. Sunday, I took a nap at the Hamlet and browsed through most of the shops. I also learned that we should be keeping an eye on the upcoming game Red Faction 2. Why? While we won't recognize anyone in the game by face, we'll recognize someone's moves.
