Bristol Renaissance Faire 2002 - Story Arc 2
This year's scenario gets back a little more to basics in terms of story and characterizations compared to the last couple of years. It was still enjoyable and maintains the reputation that it is one of the highlights of Bristol. The plot is that the Seadogs (yeah!), being commisioned as privateers, attacked a Spanish main, freeing her of it's English prisoners and treasures. They are in town to present the Queen's prizeshare of the booty. Sir Edward Coke is to be the liason for the transaction. However the prize share turns up missing. Coke accuses the Seadogs of theft (no surprise) and the Seadogs think Coke took it (again no surprise). Sir Robert Dudley, Earl of Leicester, has told Coke that he will be personally held responsible for the missing prizeshare. This leads Sir Edward to declare a head tax on all citizens and visitors to cover the prizeshare. During the course of the day the Seadogs are able to steal the taxes aways from the Guards but they lose 1 of their in transit...
