I fear I've been awfully neglegent with my duties toward updating the Roost for this season at Bristol. While I could make a ton of excuses and explanations, I think most people involved with faire understand that some years things just happen too quickly. This summer seems to have melted away (pun intended as reference to the horrendous heat wave we encountered). And, four days from the time I'm writing this, school will once again be in session... admist teaching, I'll be whiling away the time waiting to return to the dusty streets of Bristol. Until then, we have memories; hopefully, this meager offering will keep the 2001 season forever enshrined. With apologies for not offering more, and gratitude for continuing fellowship in and out faire....

The following image sequence is of this years scenario climax at the 4:30 action set upon the Chesire Chase stage. This year's scenario was The Phantom Plunder a highly entertaining bit. For a history of the scenario and more details of The Phantom Plunder, check out the Seadog Page. These pictures were taken on the Saturday of the third weekend of faire. Greg Larson a.k.a. Jack Bottoms was lost at sea and his role was filled in by Ron Scot Fry. Greg: Please accept my apologies for not having done this with you there... I'm sure Frank will appease when he gets back to Texas. Oh... and as sort of an offering for lack of quantity this season, I cropped these down in attempts to strive for "quality" instead.

Master Simple

Dang... can he reverance, or what?

Stuck? (no, not really)

We can definitely see why he's the Master of Revels

My parents plundered Bristol, and all I got was this stinking hat

Nah...

As does Sir Robert Dudley
