This season started out BUSY! Yes, I do mean that in a couple of ways. From what I understand, opening weekend boasted record attendence. I should hope so, I believe that Sunday had the most perfect weather I've ever experienced at Bristol. It was in the mid-seventies, blue skies, just perfect. Unfortunately, the next weekend wasn't so hot... or rather... it was dreadfully hot and humid. It was also busy for me, personally. As you can see by the fact that this update presents weeks one and two together with a very small sampling of images, I wasn't at faire as much as I would have liked to be. This is a time of change for me... and change takes a wee bit of time. In this case, I'm moving, so between being sore, exhausted, and not having a phone line hooked up right away, my diligence has suffered. I hope apologies can be given. This update mostly shows images of the faire's production of William Shakespeare's A Midsummer's Night Dream. Those images are sans caption in the hopes that viewers are familiar enough with the storyline that the image sequence will speak for itself. It is a wonderful production held aptly enough on the newly painted Midsummer Stage. And, speaking of new paint jobs, many areas of the faire boast tremendous stage. The Lord Mayor's Forum now has a back-drop, and the New Market area has many new structures. So far this season has proven to be an "on" season for many faire goers, and I look forward to a couple of weeks from now when I can enjoy the revelry without distraction.
