Fight Cast 1   -   Fight Cast 2

The one thing about Bristol I always look forward to watching is the Fight Cast. This dozen or so lot of people have a full schedule of street fights and the story arc to perform. And they perform them most excellently well. This year's plotline concerns "The Curse of the Phantom Plunder"(oooooh!). A mysterious treasure chest finds its way onto the ship of Captain Nick Cutter & his Seadogs (the good guys) and they bring it back w/ them to Bristol. The chest is allegedly haunted and cursed and said to possess any who look into its contents. The Seadogs fear it and wish it destroyed. However Sir Edward Coke claims it in the name of the crown by right of salvaging laws. He does not believe in the curse and he and his Guards (the bad guys) come at odds w/ our heroes all day long. And so it begins.

Sir Edward Coke and his wife arrive w/the chest. Soon Ebenezer Hellstone interjects that only he is safe to open it.

Capt. Bardolph Simple has to keep the possessed Ragbone constantly in check

The Guards & The Seadogs argue over the fate of the chest

Aphrodite Quickly adds her input to the conflict; as well as a stiff wind!

A Cameron MacIntosh moment

That leads into a fierce battle

Both sides fight fervently for the treasure

Sir Edward glimpses inside the chest and sees vast power!

During the violent foray, Capt Nick Cutter is able to momentarily get the chest

This is waaaay too hard to explain. You had to be there

Nick accidentally looks into the chest. To his amazement, he sees vast seas and adventures to be experienced

Although the Seadogs manage to overcome the guards, Cutter, in full thrall of the curse, will not destroy or part w/the treasure

Jack Bottoms engages him...

unsuccessfully

Cutter is willing to kill any and all to keep the chest

Tilney finds out that those possessed by the treasure can only be defeated by a virgin. Guess who is the only one to qualify?

Although he endures a brutal fight, Jack delays Nick long enough for Gunner John Shallow to blow up the chest

The Queen arrives ready to examine the contents of the chest, but quickly becomes furious w/Nick over it's destruction.

Only the unexpected intervention of Sir Edward Coke saves Nick from Elizabeth's fury

After making peace with all, the Queen leaves escorted by the hero of hour.
