Each year, the Bristol Renaissance Faire holds a costume contest for garbed patrons to challenge others to the test of authenticity and skill of thread. The contest is divided into three categories for each sex: Peasant, Middle Class, and Nobility. Daily contests are held every fesitival day save the last on the Midsummer Stage at three in the afternoon. Every third week, a semi-final contest is held. Winners of the semi-final will compete for prizes in each category on August 19th this year. Official Rules for the contest can be found
