Bristol Renaissance Faire's Official Website.REIGN OF TERROR AND THE MELEE
At Bristol there is a major street fight referred to as the Reign of Terror/Melee. It is an intense confrontation between Sir Edward Coke & his guards and the Seadogs. Initially, there is a fierce battle between their respective champions, Oswald Jaggers and Jack Bottoms, that erupts into a full scale conflict with all combatants. This battle can be often edgy and dark, but riveting. Because of this scenario, I chose to photograph this with Black & White to give a bit of "Bristol Noir."
